In celebration of Earth Day, we planted two garden boxes in the habitat area at our school. We planted flowers and 5 mounds of pumpkins and gourds. We learned so much!!! We are having fun caring for our seeds and watching them sprout!!

First we put the plant in the garden.We had lam ears and purple flower and mary golds.We dug a hole in the brown dirt it was kind of deep not really deep like in a werms hole that it is deep like I said.We did that because we wanted to make shore that its in perfectly.Then we hoed the green plant really good so it could grow very big and really helthy.Later on that morny we started taking the weeds out of the the garden and then we waterd it because the weeds could take the clear water away from the green plant in the brown dirt.Finaly we planted the seeds in the ground we made a hill to put the seeds in.It looked like an ants hole in the ground.
ReplyDeleteToday is Eath day and we are planting a garden.We have to get seed packs and lots of tools to do it. In the begening we will dig out the weeds.I do not like weeds becouse they suck up all the water for the plants.I would say no no bad weeds.After that we put the soil in our garden my hands got all nasty and I did not like it at all!!The soil had to get mixed in with the soil thet was all ready in the box.Then we waterd the plants. We had to wait a long time for it to grow.At last it grew. Next we plantd Merra golds and Gords.The Merra golds were Yellow.
ReplyDeleteThe first day we PLANTED our garden was on Earth day! The lambs ear felt smooth as a babys skin. We planted a lambs ear and it was big! I had to water the lambs ear with a big bottle.We planted flowers that were already a flower.Then we planted lots of vedgies. We had to make a big hill so the vedgies can grow.We got to put the seeds in the hole.Then we waterd the fruits and vedges.We had to put the plants in full sun to keep them alive.The next day we looked at the plants and some of the plants and vedgies have grown.We waterd the plants and weeded and weeded the weeds.The next week the plant had grown. We waterd the plants and weeded the plants.We have planted Marry golds.The Marry gald was not gold at all.It was a little plant.
ReplyDeleteMy class had the most exciting fun on Earth day!!! You wouldn't believe how much fun I had. It was so fun I have to tell you all about it. We all had to bring big bottles that we can hold so we can water the plants. Someone's Mom and Dad came in to help and take pictures. Adrian's Dad had to put the soil in the flower beds because the other soil was hard!!! :( Everybody touched the soil and a girl named Andrea touched it and said" The soil is very hard Mrs. Lickfeld. Then everbody was saying yeah it is yeah it is!!!! It was giving me a bad headach. Then Mrs. Lickfeld said" Please be quiet! Then 4 people got a hoe and started to hoe. Then the people had to give a hoe to another person so they would get a hoe because it wouldn't be fair. Then Mrs. Lickfeld gave us all a plant and then we had to put it in the hole. When we were done putting the flower in the hole we were able to water it. The other people that were in the other bed were planting vegies. They were planting pumpkins and all kinds of other vegies. I wish I was planting the vegies. The people that were planting the vegies had to make dirt hills that were so big they were taller than my foot that is kinda not that big. We didn't have to put seeds in for the flower. We did have to put seeds in for the vegies because they can't grow by their selves.( It would be weird if they did grow on their own!!!) The garden was so beautiful I was about to cry! The plant I planted wasn't growing very much because the bright, shiney sun was shining on them a little to much. Now that would make me cry alot because I love for all of the good smelling, pretty flowers that every body planted.!.!.!.! Some of the beautiful flowers were yellow and purple and the vegies were of course green. The lamb's ear was soft, hairy and felt like a baby's new grown, spikey, hair. Most of the yellow flowers were called Marry Golds. The bushes were called Lavender plants that attrack the butterflys because of their sweet, smells that smell so delightful, good and especialy smells better than any plant in the world!!! :) :) It smellt so good I wish I was a butterfly!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn Earth day we planted a garden to celebrate. We planted Mary gold,a lambs ear,and lavender.The Lambs ear was the bigiest of them all I think.I planted a Mary gold,I am going to tell you how I did it.
ReplyDeleteAt first I had to get a little shovle and dig a hole.After that Mrs.Hair gave me a mary gold and I put it in my hole.Finally I put the soil/dirt back in the hole and watered it.We also planted vegies.Every day we come back to water the flowers.People do this to keep the Earth clean.everybody can take part in to keep our large Earth clean.We planted pumpkins too.Did you know pumpkins need lots of room to grow.
The Lambs ear was smooth like a just born babys skin.
One day I (my class) planted a garden. First we put the plants in he soil. Next we watered the plants. We learned about how to take good care of a garden. We used rakes, shovels and hoes.I got really dirty and dusty. We planted two garden beds. We put a sign that said"Mrs Lickfeld's second grade garden.We planted marry golds,pumkins,lavender, gourds and lambs ear. They were really soft. Now almost every day we go down there and water them. When we go down and water them we pull weeds,as much weeds as we can. Its really fun when we go down there. I cant think of what the vegies would be like later this year. The marry golds were soft and yellow. The marry golds smelled good too. The lavender smelled good and and wasnt soft. The tolls we used were to big for me. I hope I plant another garden.

ReplyDeleteAt first we had to get seeds to plant in our garden. We had to make a hole on the grouand and put the seed on the hole. We got to put the big plant an the middle.
Next We had to water the plant.
We had to water the plant all aver the plant.
The water go fast because the plant drankes the water.
Then it grows an same weeds comes out because the plant grows big.
We have to pick up the weed so the weed can't eat it.We plant marigold it was pupler an it smells good like chookelt.
We had to pick it cairfrli so we cound't pick up the laefs of the plant.
It was the fun things we did.We made it on earth day.We made florows togerther.
Our class planted flowers and vsgies in the garden because it was Eath day!We also planted the flowers and vegies to learn about a plants life cycle.It was so much fun, you should have beened there.The first thing we did was we used some rakes, shovels and hoe.We also used two garden beds so we can use the rakes, shovels and hoe to plant with.The shovels where kind of big, they where almost as big as a penicl box!We had to dig and dig.I dig about four or five holes.The flowers where really beautiful.The flowers where yellow and red.We had two big, beautiful purple flowers in our garden beds.We had one bed that had flowers and the other one had vegies like pumpkins and squosh.When we where done planting the plants we water them, of coures!The big,two flowers and vegies had to get a lot of water, i'm not kidding!With the little flowers we used water bottles.We have to water our garden sometimes before we go outside and play.It was amazing doing the garden.It was so much fun when we work togeter.It was also a sunny day to garden.It was hard work for everybody in our class.It was also exited!!We really had a great time togeter.They also smell really delishes and the flowers of the yellow,red flowers peddles where as smooth as a baby skin!
ReplyDeleteOn earth day we worked on a garden so hard that we finished planting all of the beautiful plants in one day! We hoed, shoveled, and shoveled with smaller shovels! We had lambs ears, merry goldes, lavinders, and pumpkins in our planting area. We had to go up and down 2 big hills while some of us had to carry big bottles and little bottles. We did so much to go green and help the earth! About 5 or 10 days later all of the plants sprouted! We took so good care of the garden that the flowers can give us the air that we need to survive! We took trips to the garden almost every day to help the earth be healthy and strong! We will water the flowers every day almost to keep the earth green!

ReplyDeleteThe other day we was plantin are garden.we was planting other flowers.The first thing we did is pull the weed out.Next Mrs. Hair gave us one flower so everbody counld have one.then we put water so the flower counld grow.We had to be carefull to put some water.WE learned so much about planting are garden.when we got to our garden there were pumpkins and gourds.We plant 2 garden beds.WE use rakes shovles.We planted fowers and vegies.
ReplyDeleteHello I will tell you about when we planted a the garden.We had to use a shubol and we had to take the weeds.I had so much fun planting flowers and vegvos.I made a hole and put colerful flowers before we made a hole.The first thing we did is we add lots of durt.Then we mex it the durt.Afther that we dig a hole so we can plant the strate flowers and the last thing is we put the flowers in the hole.We did it becaues it was Eath day and to about the life cycle and we whont to get the eath very buteful and clean.

One day we plented flowers on the summer. First we made a hole In the garden. Then we weeded by puting output the seed In. the next thing Is we put the flowers In the hole. When we wher done we put hills then we made a hole like 1 inch tole. When we wher done we put the seeds In the hills we put pers and pumcens. We weeded the big weeds wher the flowers. Are planted. we put 5 hills. The next day we waterd the flowers so they wonte diy. We planted alot of flowers In the garden. We water them alot evry day. We planted mericoles are perple. In are garden. And we planted lavengoles. We plantde corn to. Are garden Is olmost full. We coled are garden mrs.Lickfelds 2nd grade garden. The flowers can feel soft and some are not soft.beause some are dry. The flowers make the buterflys come to the flowers to smell the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe are going green!!Did`nt you know in Earth day you need to do something good for the earth thats why we planted fowers and vegies.In the bigining we plant 2 garnden beds and tack off the weeds from the two garnden beds so they can`not tack there water from the plant.After that we mack holes so we can put the fowers and when I was diging I saw warmes.Latter on we put the fowers in the holes and put the dirt back around the fowers and presset around the fowers and put water on them and it look like a pond.
ReplyDeleteOUR GARDEN IS GROWING!!! WE HAVE GONE TO THE GARDEN EVERY DAY, IF IT IS NOT RAINING, TO WATER IT. WE WERE SO AMAZED TO SEE THAT SPROUTS WERE APPEARING AFTER ONLY 5 DAYS!! EVERYTHING IS GROWING AND LOOKS AMAZING. THE KIDS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB CARING FOR THE PLANTS BY WEEDING AND WATERING. THIS HAS BEEN SO MUCH FUN!!!!
